What Do Master Yoda, Mahatma Gandhi And Nike Have In Common?
It’s simple.
If you want to succeed at anything, you have to “do,” or take the right action to get what you want. Make a concerted effort to achieve your goal and don’t be attached to the result. Mahatma Gandhi said, ”…If you do nothing, there will be no result.”
So, you either take action, or you do not. According to Dictionary.com, trying is an “attempt to do or accomplish something.” It never
attains your endgame and won’t fulfill your desires and dreams.
Trying is non-committal, half- hearted, and in my opinion, laced with attachments of varying degrees, such as the possibility of failure, insecurity, hesitation, uncertainty, and fear.
A losing team doesn’t move up the leaderboard for trying. The team either wins or loses. Here’s another example: pick up a pen from a table. Put it down on the table. Now, TRY to pick the pen up, not, pick the pen up. Were you successful? This simple exercise demonstrates that either the pen was picked up or it wasn’t. There is no trying. You either get the desired result, or you do not.
If you sincerely want to make a better life for yourself and your loved ones, fully and unconditionally commit to it, without reservations – an unwavering conviction to the desired result, no matter what.
When I want to do something and find I am hesitant for some reason, I say to myself, “just start doing it. The rest will come”, and so it does. Before long, I am in full swing of the activity, designing my life as I want it. 🙂
Successful, confident, powerful people go after what they want. They take action. If you are not already in a place where you are happy, successful (on your terms), and fulfilled, then, in the wisdom of NIKE, “Just Do It.”
Thank you for Liking and Sharing this information on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites with people with whom you care. You make a difference. Let me know your experience of doing versus trying.
Cheers,
Dr. Chloe
